Integrating Technology into the classroom

It is very easy to integrate technology into the classroom. The first step is evaluating which technologies you are comfortable with. Next, how can you use it effectively in your lessons. Finally, practice makes perfect! Don't forget that if you find something ineffective for whatever reason, drop it and try something new.

Types of technology

There are many different types of technology traditional and emerging technology. some examples of them both are: Scanner, interactivce whiteboard, MP3 player, Podcasts, Wiki, Social Networking sites and virtual reality environments. We will be discussing each one in depth as the year progresess. Please visit this site frequently for updates.

Evalutating technology in the classroom

It is equally important to using technology in the classroom as it is to evaluate its effectiveness and ease of use.
Evaluate the technology before using it. Do you need training? What skills are needed to implement into your lessons?
Does this technology integration motivate students to learn and engage them in the lesson?
Have the students academic performance and standardized test scores increased?

Evaluation is the key to success!
